ELEMENTARY SCHOOL CREW LEADERS

Elementary Crew Leader (Adult or Rising 11-12 grade)
Description:
Gear up and participate in fun activities, while building relationships with a small group of elementary-age kids (who could say no to that?). All crews consist of MIXED-AGE kids. Travel through four Stations, plus the Café, Sing & Play and Closing each day.
Skills: Attend VBS each day. Arrive 30 minutes early to greet Crew members each day. Start your Adventure with a special staff training session. VIRTUS training and a Background Check is required for everyone over 18.

Elementary Assistant Crew Leader (Rising 7-10 grade)
Description:
Assist the Crew Leader with a small group of children. Travel with group through all Stations. Participate in activities too!
Skills: Excellent role model for children. Likes to have fun! Learn names of kids in small group. Assist children with activities. Start your adventure at a special staff training.

ELEMENTARY STATION LEADER POSITIONS for Adults, High School and Middle School Youth

Deep Bible Adventures Skit Squad (HS and MS Youth)
Description:
With the help of the Deep Bible Adventures Leader, transport kids back to Bible times in unforgettable ways!
Skills: Outgoing, energetic, able to think on your feet. Help make the Bible stories come alive through skits and presenting different characters in four sessions of Bible Expeditions each day. Start your Adventure with a special staff training session. Assist Station Leader in setting up, cleaning up, organizing and decorating.

Café Crew (Adult)
Description:
Use the Café Leader Manual to gather all the food and kitchen supplies for the yummy, creative dinners and snacks. Coordinate with the Nurse to accommodate children with food allergies. Set up and clean up each day.
Skills: Serve dinner to the Crews. Explain how the snack ties in with the day’s Bible Verse. Start your adventure with a special staff training session. VIRTUS training and a Background Check is required for everyone over 18.

Imagination Station Leader (Adult)
Description:
Use the Imagination Station Leader Manual to gather supplies & try out the science experiments before each day’s Imagination Station.
Skills: Lead children through engaging science experiments, introduce a Saint each day & supervise activities. Start your Adventure with a special staff training session. VIRTUS training and a Background Check is required for everyone over 18.

Imagination Station Assistant (HS Youth)
Description:
With the help of the Imagination Station Leader, help Crews assemble and try out their science experiments
Skills: Assist the Imagination Station Leaders as they lead children through engaging science experiments, introduce a Saint each day. Start your Adventure with a special staff training session.

Sports & Games Group (HS and MS Youth)
Description:
With the help of the Games Leader, demonstrate and help the Crews have the most fun in the outrageously games each day.
Skills: Guide children through fun games. Be prepared to be active & be outside for most activities. Start your Adventure with a special staff training session.

Hall/Bathroom Monitor (Adult)
Description:
While Crews are at their Stations, monitor the RE hallway and bathroom to ensure that everyone is where they are assigned to be

VBS First Aid (Certified Adult)
Description
: Medical Professional – Physician, Nurse or EMT
Skills: Supervise safety of VBS participants and volunteers. Be available to assist in keeping everyone safe. Treat minor medical needs, allergies or any other health related concern. VIRTUS training and a Background Check is required for everyone over 18.

Decorations Coordinator (Adult)
Description:
Assist our VBS Director and create a beautiful themed scene perfect for our adventures! Decorating Places DVD walks you through everything!
Skills: If you are a creative soul that likes to supervise youth and adults with paintbrushes, this job is for you! VIRTUS training and a Background Check is required for everyone over 18.

Bible Adventures Leader (Adult)
Description:
Transport kids back to Bible times in unforgettable ways! Use the One-of-a-Kind Bible Adventures Leader Manual to gather supplies and props for each day’s Bible Adventures. Use the great decorating ideas to set up your area, gather supplies & recruit a “sidekick” or two to help out!
Skills: Lead children through incredible and interactive learning activities that make Bible stories come alive in four sessions of Bible Adventures each day. Start your adventure with a special staff training session. VIRTUS training and a Background Check is required for everyone over 18.

KidVid Cinema Leader (Adult)
Description:
Use the Kid Vid Leader Manual to show the special KidVid Stories DVD at four sessions each day.
Skills: Guide crews in thought-provoking experiences and heart-touching discussions. Introduce the Bible Memory Buddies each day! Start your adventure with a special staff training session. VIRTUS training and a Background Check is required for everyone over 18.

Spelunker Sports & Games Leader (Adult)
Description:
Use the Sports & Games Leader Manual to gather supplies needed for outrageously fun games each day.
Skills: Guide children through fun games and supervise youth assistants. Be prepared to be active & be outside for most activities. Start your Adventure with a special staff training session. VIRTUS training and a Background Check is required for everyone over 18.
