RCIA Schedule 2019-2020
Part of the RCIA process is catechesis or religious instruction about the Catholic Church.
The dates below reflect RCIA classes catechumens and candidates must attend. Sponsors are welcome to join us.
All dates given are Thursdays – 7:00-8:30pm in rooms 3 and 4.

PHASE I – “Inquiry Period” – Rediscover Jesus – “Who is Jesus?” –
September 12, 19, 26 and October 3
PHASE II – “Catechesis/Teaching Period on what the Catholic Church Believes” – Discussions centered around topics such as God and Creation, Sin, the Bible, The Holy Trinity, Nicene Creed, Four Marks of the Church, Tenets of the Faith, Seven Sacraments, Papacy, Mary – Jesus’ Mother, Rituals/Tradition, Vocations – (Priests, Deacons, and Nuns), Supernatural Things, Moral Issues, Salvation and the Afterlife, The Ten Commandments, and Human Life

RCIA RETREAT 2020
All Catechumens, Candidates will meet Saturday, March 28, 2020
From 9:00-4:00pm in St. Stephen, Martyr classrooms 3 & 4 (Lunch will be provided)
PHASE III – “ENCOUNTERING CHRIST” – RCIA/RCIC (REQUIRED)
This course, formally known as “Mystagogy” is a REQUIRED period for all teens and adults whom have recently (Easter Vigil) received the Sacrament of Confirmation. We reflect upon,
and “dive deeper” into the mysteries of The Mass/Eucharist, and The Wild Goose – A Celtic term for The Holy Spirit.

Saturday, April 4, 2020 – PRACTICE for the Easter Vigil; ALL Catechumens, Candidates, and sponsor (Proxy) MUST attend – Practice will be in Sanctuary for the Easter Vigil;
Practice time – 10:00am (approximately 1-hour)
Saturday, April 11, 2020 – Easter Vigil Liturgy – 8:00pm
