Confirmation

The Diocese of Richmond Confirms children in the 11th grade. It is also a Diocesan policy that the student be enrolled in Christian Formation in the 9th grade in order to enter the two years of Confirmation Preparation. The students choose their sponsors in the 10th grade and begin journeying with them to the sacrament.

Sponsors are to be a fully initiated Catholic, actively participating in their parish and be willing to meet with their candidate through their junior year. Confirmation typically happens in the spring following Easter. Please contact the Christian Formation office for an questions or concerns.

Please join us on Tuesday, May 20, 2008 at 7:00 PM here at St. Stephen, Martyr for our Confirmation Mass.  Bishop DiLorenzo will be officiating.

Prep Sessions

Confirmation Students and Sponsors:  The next prep session, January 20th at 7pm, is for Candidates only.
The Lecture scheduled for January 24th is still on!  We had thought we might have to cancel.  Msgr. Mike will be talking on Reconciliation.  Please plan to attend with your sponsor on the 24th at 7:30pm here at church.  The lecture on Death & Dying is February 21st at 7:30pm.  Sponsors and Candidates are asked to attend this lecture as well. This is the talk you do not want to miss.  It is fabulous!
